The Politeknik Kuala Terengganu, formerly known as Politeknik Kota Kuala Terengganu, was officially established on 1 January 1999 and a conceptual campus within the city. PKT offers three major programs which are Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Communication) - DEP and Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering - DEE under the Department of Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Information Technology (Digital Technology) under the Department of Information and Communication Technology. The Teaching and Learning (T&L) process is also fully supported by the Department of Mathematics, Science and Computer and the Department of General Studies
