In my own simple definition of multimedia, it is about communicating in more than one way. Multimedia have many element such as text, audio, graphics, video, and animation which is give you many information ni this world. Example of multimedia are television, film, ICT, music, printing, game, entertainment, radio, mobilephone, and computer. All of these useful to many people anywhere, anytime and anyone include in  school, college, and  work place.
