Course Description

The Child Development Associate course provides 120 clock hours to early childhood professionals to become highly trained and knowledgeable about the early childhood field.

This course aims to further the career path of early childhood professional  aiming to achieve their Child Development Associate. This course goes towards the  first 120 clock hours. Knowledge Giver does not certify early childhood teachers, however, our courses are a great platform to assist you in your professional development and the courses you need to achieve your goal as a candidate for the CDA Council.

As a  student, you will learn about early childhood and child development in-depth and share their own experiences in the field with other peers. The course is designed to correlate with the 6 Competency Goals and 13 Functional Areas designed by the Council for Professional Recognition.

Topic such as ethnocentrisms, cultural biases, early childhood education, learning through play and other trendy research based topics will be discussed. Moreover, students will learn how to create fulfilling culturally enriched learning environments, ideas, and systems that will promote cohesive learning environment for all children.

This course offers the first 120 hours for CDA Certification process. This course does not certify learners to become a certified early childhood teacher. This course provides training for the first 120 clock hours for the CDA. 

This course is great for daycare workers, Nannies, Au Pairs, Informal caregivers, and other childcare professionals interested in professional development and knowledge in the field of early childhood. 

This is a beginners level course.

The course is designed to be completed in 3 months:

Each lesson is categorized by Six Competency Goals and the Functional areas associated with Competency Goal.

The students have access to online course 24/hrs and 7days a week.

 There will be live and/or pre-recorded lectures on Mondays and Fridays every 1st and 3rd week of the month from 7pm-10pmEST
